Business and Brunch

Imagine sitting at a table outside on your back porch enjoying brunch while doing what you love. This beautiful brunch charged me for the day. I was so full, but still had room for blogging eats.

My orange juice isn’t spiked, but it should be! Just kidding. I don’t drink. These waffles inspired today’s blog post. The breeze commanded me to sit a bit longer and take in the fact that its Labor Day and I don’t have to go to my REAL job, sitting behind a desk in a 2 by 4 cubicle waiting for 5 pm. I don’t sit at the desk anyways. What am I saying. What I’m saying is that I’d rather be blogging and vlogging than working for someone else. So as I sit here and enjoy my brunch, I’m building my brand, my business, my legacy. I will not let the corporate world distract me from my destiny for greatness. I will do what I’m meant to do.

So I’m going to enjoy my beef sausage and hash browns, getting grease on my keyboard as my mind flows and my fingers grace the characters. Words fill the screen and the… This is starting to sound like poetry now right. This is how great this feeling is. I wish there were more days like this. As the bread begins to harden as it sits out in the warm breezy air, I stuff my face with the pinwheel turkey slices. As I do this I’m thinking of my website hosting. Who will host my website as I bring The Elfin Empress to life. BINGO! Wix will. No. WordPress. No. GoDaddy. Yes. GoDaddy will host my site. I get a free email with the website builder. I can put that to use. Oh wait! I need a photographer to take my photos for my instagram page. Who will do that for FREE? Right. Noone lol! It’s perfectly fine. I’ll find someone to do it for FREE, because this Empress wants to spend her money on designer. Booyah!

Thanks for taking the time to read my brunch time shenanigans!

That looks amazing!! I love GoDaddy, think they’re a great host. Also, if you want pictures for free, join a ‘services exchange’ group on Facebook. Basically instead of exchanging money for a service you exchange another service! It’s a great way to help build your online presence for ‘free’.

Nyahahahhahaa this is such a funny post. Right from the beginning when you said, “My orange juice isn’t spiked, but it should be!” I knew this was going to be funny.

Anyway, goodluck on your blog. Just so you know I have revamped and restarted my blogging world and gave myself a new venue. I’ve been blogging since 2004 but I feel I’ve been stuck elsewhere while the rest modernized and progressed. And so I picked myself up, started a new blog (about 3 months ago) and I’m enjoying myself.

In the past, was on Blogger and I used GoDaddy because it was so cheap. But I’ve since migrated to WordPress. My blog is on WordPress.org and I chose Bluehost. It seems fine.

Again, good luck on the blog!!! Do not worry about the photos, there’s always someone you will find who can take them–orrrrrr get yourself a tripod! When I trvael with my boyfriend we have amazing couple photos that look like it was taken by someone else. HAHA. It was just a timer!

Good luck with your new business! I have been running my own business for over a year now and whilst there is a great freedom with it, I do work so much more than I used to when I had a 9 to 5 job. It’s not all fun, especially when you are the one making money and paying the bills.
